Congresses

The triennial WPC Energy Congress with a typical attendance of over 15,000, provides a neutral and inclusive platform to debate and define realistic, workable paths to a net zero future. The event brings together thought leaders from across the global energy industry including Heads of State, Ministers, CEOs, Presidents and Heads of International Organisations, as well as engineers, academics and the NGO community.

The 24th World Petroleum Congress

concluded on 21 September after five days of engaging conversations centred on the theme “Energy Transition: The Path to Net Zero”. The Congress attracted over 10,000 unique visitors to the exhibition, over 5,000 delegates in attendance at the Congress, and registrants from 111 countries. More information from this event can be found at: 24th World Petroleum Congress 2023 (24wpc.com).

We will be continuing these important conversations as we look forward to the 25th WPC Energy Congress taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in Autumn 2026. Surprisingly, this marks the first time that the Congress has taken place in this country and only the second time in the WPC’s 89 year history that it has taken place in the Middle East, the first being in Doha in 2011.
