Programme Director - Hybrid, London-based (job spec published 28/1/26)
As part of an upcoming team transition, WPC Energy is seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead the development and delivery of high-profile international programmes.
Role Overview
Under the supervision of the Director General, the Programme Director will be responsible for the development, delivery, and oversight of programmes for WPC Energy events, including the WPC Energy Congress, the Youth Forum, and other flagship initiatives.
The Programme Director will lead and manage programme design, content development, and associated data management, working closely with WPC Energy National Committees and supporting the Congress Programme Committee (CPC), ensuring that WPC Energy’s events remain relevant, forward-looking, and adaptable to the evolving global energy landscape.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- A strong knowledge and understanding of multilateral institutions such as WPC Energy.
- Proven experience in the energy Industry supported by a technical background.
- Demonstrated expertise in programme & content management for large scale international events.
- A results-oriented mindset, with excellent communication and coordination skills, including the ability to work effectively across cultures and in diplomatic environments.
- A flexible and collaborative team player, able to adapt to working across multiple projects
- Experience on working in an international and multicultural environment.
- Willingness and availability to travel frequently on an international basis.
- Fluency in English; additional languages would be considered an asset.
Location & Conditions
The position will be based in London. WPC Energy operates a hybrid working model; however, candidates must be resident in the United Kingdom. The offer of employment will be competitive and aligned with international industry standards.
