Technical Programme Paper and Poster Speakers Selected for the 23rd World Petroleum Congress
Out of a record number of 2,000 abstract submissions, the World Petroleum Council has confirmed the selection of 300 Expert Speakers who will present their papers and posters at the 23rd World Petroleum Congress in December 2021. The high-level programme features 23 Technical Forums on innovative energy solutions across the oil and gas sector, from disruptive technologies to cleaner energy solutions.
Working with 2,000 abstracts from 59 countries and more than 400 companies, making the selection very challenging for the Forum Chairs, whilst ensuring the usual level of quality and diversity for the Congress. In total the Congress Programme will include around 700 international speakers.
Global coverage of the latest technologies will be considered from the perspective of almost 40 countries, providing the opportunity for focused discussions. Under the theme of 'Innovative Energy Solutions', the Technical Programme of the Congress is divided into five main topical blocks:
- BLOCK 1: Innovation in upstream
- BLOCK 2: Innovation in downstream & petrochemicals
- BLOCK 3: Innovation in natural gas
- BLOCK 4: Future Energy Landscape
- BLOCK 5: Managing energy solutions
The 23rd World Petroleum Congress will provide the platform for open dialogue between consumers and producers, governments and industry, academia and financiers, leaders and society, in order to address these issues and present debates, developments and solutions for sustainable production and use of the world's energy resources.
